Preacher's Decree

He says he’s too old for her.
She says age is just a number.
What starts as a battle of wills
turns into a night of passionate surrender.

PREACHER

I disappear for months at a time. No calls, no explanations, no way for anyone to know if I’m alive. I asked a woman to live with that once. I’ve never asked anyone since. Then I got teamed up with Parker Mills. A man my age knows not to touch what could never be his, no matter how much the woman who sleeps in the bedroom one door away makes me want to abandon every creed I’ve ever preached.

CASSIDY

When it comes to our team’s missions, I decide who goes in, how long they stay, and how they get out. My partner, Cohen “Preacher” Shepherd, is the most controlled man I’ve ever met, and I want to be the reason he loses it. Except when he said he’s too old for me, it sounded more like a decree than an opinion. He may have spent his whole life walking away, but this time, I’m the one who plans every exit, and I’m not giving him one.

While each book in the K19 Genesis Consortium Team One series features one couple and a guaranteed HEA, the series may be more enjoyable read in order.
